What is Kundalini Yoga? What is the difference between this style of Yoga and others?
These are two things I get asked very often.

Kundalini Yoga is the Yoga that promotes consciousness.

Kundalini means "the curl of the Beloved's hair". The beloved is God, and the curl of his hair is the potential energy that all human beings have, and that we call Kundalini.

So, with the activation of this energy through physical, mental and spiritual practices, by stabilizing its flow and the ability to make it available to our entire being, we can experience within us that constant and conscious sense of unity and wholeness that many people they call God, or the Divine. You can call it as it resonates in you, the important thing is not what you call it, but that you know that you can also experience this energy and this state through this practice.
Kundalini Yoga combines the knowledge of the 8 pillars of the ancient tradition on which the different types of Yoga are based and which lead to postures, breath control, discipline, character building, mastery of the senses, concentration, meditation. and states of consciousness. 
In a Kundalini Yoga class, body, mind and soul are worked on; physical work exercises are combined with breathing techniques, mantras and meditation that allow us to observe the state of internal fragmentation in which we live, which leads us to behave in ways that harm us and, step by step, with the application of the technique, we are acquiring freedom to act from the consciousness of our being, free from our ties to traumatic, family and cultural patterns.
Freedom, security and autonomy to express our Soul is what we gain with Kundalini Yoga.

Yogi Bhajan arrived in the Americas in 1969 to teach these ancient techniques in a unique combination created by him, which is the style of Yoga that is now known in the West as Kundalini Yoga.

What Kundalini Yoga has done (and continues to do) for me is invaluable, that is why I share these practices, because they have transformed my life in an extraordinary way, bringing focus, clarity, a sense of belonging and purpose and a very deep connection to my existence. with the notion that everything in this life is sacred.

It is difficult for me to put into words what I experience, because Kundalini Yoga is, fundamentally, an experience. If you want to know what it is, the best thing is to practice the technique and have your experience of yourself through it.
